Michael Ames, LMT

Michael has been a therapist for over a decade working with athletes of all calibers and types.  From the amateur to the elite and professional levels, he's done it all!.  Some of the organizations he has worked with are the Bay State Warriors, Chicago Fire, Orlando Predators, Cirque du Soleil La Nouba, Cirque Du Soleil Saltimbanco, Tufts University Womens Soccer, Southern Methodist University Womens Soccer, Chicago's Joffrey Ballett and the Columbus Crew.

He has also worked with hundreds of amateur to elite and professional level individual sport athletes including water skiers, wake boarders, flow riders, golfers, triathletes, marathoners, tennis players, squash players, dancers, gymnasts, children athletes and mixed martial artists.  He still maintains a private practice in Orlando, Florida in addition to teaching continuing education.

On the education side, Michael has mentored several massage therapists since 2006.  Watching therapists expand their knowledge and business motivated Michael to reach out and help more people through Continuing Education.  Michael has been teaching Live Seminars since 2011 and providing Online Courses since 2013.

"My goal in my Live Classes is to have fun.  I have a passion for the capabilities of the human body.  I try to push my passion to forefront of every class I teach.  You will often hear me say things like that is so cool, or awesome!  My students and I often high five when we get excited about a particular technique, client or theory.  We laugh, learn and hopefully gain a new found joy and passion for the work we do.  Even if you know the material inside and out, wouldn't you like to take a class with someone that wants to have fun and talk about how cool massage is all day?  I know I would! :)"
